Chatel - Portes du Soleil
| • Huge 650km of piste |
• 202 ski lifts - 1 lift pass! |
| • 12 Resorts (Swiss & French) |
• Superb Off Piste & Snow Parks |
| • Cateres for all abilities |
• Easy access from Geneva | Situated right in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil, Chatel is surrounded by French and Swiss ski resorts offering some of the best winter sports holidays in the Alps. The Portes Du Soleil is one of the largest interlinked ski areas in the world covering 12 resorts, 650kms of piste, 202 lifts, 89 mountain restaurants and superb snow parks.
The skiing in Chatel is extensive with a great variety of pistes for all abilities, some great snow parks and superb off piste. Starting your day in Chatel and travelling further afield you could find yourselves in the very picturesque Morzine and Les Gets, the purpose built resort of Avoriaz and into Switzerland to the quiet open pistes of Champery, Les Crosets and Morgins with its breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi.
Chatel has developed into a superb ski holiday resort, but at the same time has been unspoiled by commercialism and to this day is still very much a traditional Savoyard farming village and one of the Alps’ best kept secrets.
With flight times of around 90 minutes from most UK airports and a transfer of around the same, traveling to a ski holiday resort from the UK does not get much easier or quicker. In the winter season Chatel has a great atmosphere with superb restaurants, bars and shops, great facilities for families and all skiing and snowboarding abilities.
"Best skiing we have ever had, excellent hospitality." Nelson family | |
